Today we attended the Viking FM wedding fayre, held at the Doubletree by Hilton in Hull, and what an amazing day!

We don’t typically attend wedding fayre’s, and that is purely down to finding the time more than anything, but with this Connor from Viking FM called us several months ago asking if we would like to attend and we jumped at the chance!

The Doubletree by Hilton is a fantastic venue with super friendly staff and we were left really impressed. The room that the wedding fayre took place in was HUGE, with exhibitors in attendance ranging from photographers, dress makers, jewellers, entertainment and amazingly two Roll Royce’s were placed right next to our stand!

For our stand we went for a homely, warm and rustic feel. We think that pretty much sums up our style of photography. The other stands in attendance were incredible, very professional looking and you could clearly see that they take wedding fayre’s very seriously.

Hollie was interviewed not once but twice, and she thought the interviews were being broadcasted! Poor thing was a bag of nerves, but she handled her interview with grace.

Big shout out to Viking FM and Connor who couldn’t have done more, and throughout the day we met and spoke with so many lovely people who are planning to get married, and we booked several weddings that very day.

We also met some amazingly talented and lovely people:

Jenni and Alex from cluskysmith.com are incredible wedding photographers, and they are genuinely two of the nicest people you could meet.

Andy from insightphotographers.co.uk who we could have spoken to all day, along with their photography being on another level.

Rich the magician from richreynoldsmagician.co.uk, we love magic and Rich was amazing! Pretty much blowing everyones minds all day.

As Yorkshire wedding photographers we took so many positives from the day, from meeting inspiring and talented people, to really understanding what potential clients are looking for in a photographer. We wish we could have taken more photos during the day, but we were far too busy (which is a good thing). It was a fantastic experience for us, and we looking forward to the next one!
